May 29, 2005 I preached my first sermon as pastor of Kenwood Fellowship Church. Today I chose to repeat that sermon as the need to surrender to Jesus COMPLETELY, is as great a need in the church as it ever has been. The idea of surrendering your will to someone else goes against the grain of those of us who were brought up in this Western Culture.

Most of us were taught to learn to do things for yourself, always be willing to help others, but not so willing to share when we need to help. As a result we become conditioned to not submitting to God and asking for His help. This message of being a bond servant requires an act of the will to recognize that what Jesus has to offer us is so much better that what we can gain for ourselves. A complete and full submission to God takes us out of the way and has us totally leaning on God for His direction, provision and purpose-it is necessary we learn and submit to this new lifestyle so that we can gain all that God has for us

We can look at the life Jesus lived on earth as the best example of how to live our lives
